The three-day Inter Pharmacy College Cricket Tournament – Season 2, held from 23 to 25 February, concluded successfully with Shakuni Chaudhary College of Health Sciences emerging as the champions. The tournament was jointly organized by MGM College of Pharmacy in collaboration with the IPA Education Division, Bihar, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from pharmacy colleges across Bihar. The event aimed to promote unity, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship among students, reinforcing the importance of sports alongside academics in the pharmacy profession.

The semi-final matches were highly competitive and engaging. In Semi-Final 1, Narayan Institute of Pharmacy faced MIT Muzaffarpur and delivered an impressive performance, securing a convincing victory to qualify for the finals. In Semi-Final 2, GPC Siwan competed against Shakuni Chaudhary College of Health Sciences, where Shakuni Chaudhary College displayed exceptional teamwork and determination to emerge victorious and advance to the grand finale.

The grand finale between Narayan Institute of Pharmacy and Shakuni Chaudhary College of Health Sciences turned into a thrilling and closely contested match. Demonstrating strong strategy and composure under pressure, Shakuni Chaudhary College of Health Sciences defeated Narayan Institute of Pharmacy by 15 runs, clinching the championship title of Season 2. Outstanding individual performances were also recognized, with Roushan being awarded Man of the Match and Tanveer receiving the prestigious Man of the Series award for his consistent performance throughout the tournament.

The closing ceremony was graced by several eminent dignitaries who encouraged the students and appreciated the efforts of the organizers. The distinguished guests present included Shri Ajay Kumar, Member, Pharmacy Council of India & Assistant Professor, GPI Patna; Mr. Sanjiv Rai, Managing Director, Ornate Labs Pvt Ltd; Shri R. L. Bandyopadhyay, President, IPA Bihar Branch; Mr. Alok Kumar, Assistant Professor, GPC Siwan; and Mr. Ravikant Arya, Founder, EcoWater. Their presence added immense value and prestige to the event.

The smooth conduct of the tournament was ensured by the dedicated officials and organizing team. Commentary was effectively handled by Mr. Mritunjay Jha, Dr. Akram Minhaj, and Himanshu Kumar, while umpiring responsibilities were carried out with fairness and professionalism by Shri Bikash Kumar and Mr. Aman. The event was led by Dr. Archana, Principal, MGM College of Pharmacy, along with committed faculty members Mr. Rupesh, Mr. Nitish, Mr. Amarendra, Mr. Prince, Miss Debankini, Mrs. Rekha, Mrs. Shwetlana, Mr. Desh Deepak, Mr. Raushan, Mrs. Aastha, Miss Sweety, Mr. Sonu, and Naveen, whose collective efforts ensured the success of the tournament.

Active participation by student volunteers played a crucial role in the flawless execution of the event. Students Sumit, Gulshan, Raushan, Aman, Rahul, Saurav, Pravin, Shahid, Ishu, Ashutosh, Deepak, and many others worked tirelessly in coordination, logistics, and on-ground management throughout the three days.

A total of 10 colleges from across Bihar participated in the tournament, including MGM College of Pharmacy, Nibha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shakuni Chaudhary College of Health Sciences, Narayan Institute of Pharmacy, GPC Siwan, Pragya Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bihar College of Pharmacy, MIT Muzaffarpur, Krishna Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, and Ram Sharan Roy College of Pharmacy.

The organizing committee extended heartfelt thanks to all participating teams for their cooperation, discipline, and true sportsman spirit. The successful conclusion of Season 2 once again proved that sports play a vital role in building leadership, unity, and confidence among future pharmacy professionals. The tournament concluded on a high note, setting new benchmarks and generating greater enthusiasm for the upcoming editions.
