Marking the beginning of a series of skill-based workshops, Nagaland University’s (NU), department of Tenyidie hosted a one-day skill development program on September 13.
In a press release PRO NU, Peter Ki highlighted that the initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the integration of vocational education with general education to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills and competencies.
The program featured Neihunuo Sorhie, a distinguished award recipient including the Padma Shri, as resource person.
She highlighted the advantages of exploring entrepreneurship and inspired students to consider diverse forms of employability. Additionally, Sorhie conducted hands-on weaving training, providing practical experience and insights into the craft.
