IIM Ranchi Concludes Successful Five-Day Nurturing Future Leadership Programme for Faculty Development

The Five-Day Nurturing Future Leadership Programme, organized by the IIM Ranchi under the esteemed Malviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP), successfully concluded today. The programme, which began on November 25, 2024, has been a transformative experience for faculty members from public-funded higher educational institutions across India.
The valedictory ceremony, held at IIM Ranchi, marked the culmination of an intensive five-day learning journey designed to enhance leadership capabilities among academic faculty. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director IIM Ranchi, who delivered the closing address. Prof. Srivastava highlighted the significance of continuous leadership development and the critical role of educational leaders in shaping the future of institutions. He also praised the participants for their dedication to strengthening leadership within their respective academic environments.
Joining Prof. Srivastava in the ceremony were Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean of Executive Education, Prof. Tanusree Dutta, Dean Academics and Prof. Anshuman Hazarika and Prof. Subhro Sarkar, Programme Director, who expressed their gratitude for the active participation of the faculty members. They reflected on the impactful discussions and insights shared throughout the programme, which covered diverse topics, including strategic leadership, academic administration, innovative learning, emotional intelligence, and the role of AI in leadership.
The Nurturing Future Leadership Programme is aligned with the Government of India’s vision to cultivate a culture where “Everyone is a Leader,” and aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills to lead with confidence and contribute meaningfully to the governance and advancement of higher educational institutions.
Throughout the course, participants were engaged in 20 intensive sessions that not only focused on core leadership principles but also addressed the evolving needs of academic leadership in a globalized and technologically driven world. Topics such as international collaboration, teamwork, social impact, and accreditation processes were explored to broaden the participants’ understanding of the challenges and opportunities in higher education leadership.
The programme’s success serves as a testament to IIM Ranchi’s commitment to nurturing future leaders who will not only excel in academic administration but also drive positive change in the educational landscape. By empowering faculty members with these leadership tools, the programme aims to build a strong foundation for the future of India’s higher education institutions.
The event concluded with a formal certificate distribution ceremony, where the participants were felicitated for their active involvement and successful completion of the programme. IIM Ranchi looks forward to continuing its role in enhancing leadership capacity across academic institutions in the country.
