A comprehensive workshop took place at the LS Acharya Kriplani auditorium to deliberate on the submission of the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) report. Headed by Vice Chancellor of BRABU Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, the workshop aimed to provide valuable insights and guidance on the accurate completion and submission of the AISHE report. Prof. Rai underscored the pivotal role of this report in shaping government policies and allocating funds for higher education institutions.
Expressing the significance of AISHE, Prof. Rai highlighted its role in assessing the landscape of higher education in India. The report offers crucial data on enrollment patterns, faculty demographics, infrastructure, and various other parameters. This information plays a vital role in aiding policymakers, educators, and researchers to make informed decisions, enhance educational quality, and address challenges within the higher education system.
Despite the importance of the workshop, Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai expressed disappointment at the absence of representatives from various colleges. Visibly upset, he instructed to serve notices to those who failed to attend this crucial session.
Mr. Shahbaz Ahmad from the Higher Education Department provided an overview of the current scenario of AISHE survey submissions in colleges affiliated with BRA Bihar University. Prof. Omprakash Roy, welcoming everyone to the workshop, expressed hope that the session would successfully enhance understanding and awareness of the AISHE submission process among the college community.
Prof. Jaykant Singh, Head of the Bhojpuri department, anchored the workshop, while Prof. Pankaj Kumar, Development Officer of the University, delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Head of the Philosophy department, concluded the session with a vote of thanks. Technical assistance was provided by Dr. Navin Kumar from the Electronics department.
During the technical session, participants actively engaged in discussions and sought clarification on the AISHE submission process. The interactive sessions facilitated a better understanding of the requirements and expectations set by AISHE, ultimately empowering institutions to meet reporting standards effectively.
