After all, the interaction of the candidates has happened for the appointment of regular VC in BAU. There was an interaction of nine candidates at the Raj Bhavan on Monday. All the candidates involved in this are being told from outside BAU. Earlier, the date of interaction for the restoration of the Raj Bhavan had been postponed twice. Due to the interaction, the situation of doubt about the appointment of regular VC has ended. However, it is not decided till when the notification of VC will be issued finally.
The post of regular VC is vacant in BAU for almost two and a half years and Dr. RK Sahane and Dr. Arun Kumar has been the in-charge VC. Arun Kumar has completed the maximum term of six months once in charge and is currently working on the extension received from Raj Bhavan. Sources told that the candidates going for BAU participated in the interaction, among them Dr. SS Singh, Dr. Bijendra Singh, Dr. SK Singh, Dr. DN Singh, Dr. RRB Singh, Dr. AK Patra, Dr. BP Bhatt, Dr. Bakshi Ram and Dr. Duniya Ram Singh is included.
Now the names of any three of these will be decided in the panel, out of which one name will be stamped. The seal will be affixed with the consent of both the Raj Bhavan and the state government. The sooner the panel is formed and the Raj Bhavan and the state government agree on one of these names, the sooner the VC will be appointed.
After the interaction, now in-charge VC Dr. will look at BAU. Leans on Arun Kumar. He was appointed on September 30 for the VC of Swami Kesavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. But he has not joined there yet. Meanwhile, on September 28, on the question raised about his not going to Bikaner University, he had said that some interviews are going on in BAU. After completing it, he will join Swami Kesavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. He has urged Raj Bhavan to relieve him from BAU. But even after two months, he did not join the new university.
The post of regular VC in BAU is vacant, the Agriculture Department had also requested the Raj Bhavan to replace Arun Kumar. In such a situation, this time the Raj Bhavan interacted on the fixed date. In the meeting of the Board of Management held on November 9, the Special Secretary of the Agriculture Department put a stop to the implementation of the two decisions of the in-charge VC, while the in-charge VC has sought a response on the decision of re-employment of the retired engineer.
The department has also expressed apprehension of irregularities in the payment of salary and other allowances to the security personnel of Samanta Security Intelligence Service Pvt Ltd in BAU. It is worth noting that due to the non-availability of regular VC and in many cases the in-charge VC does not have the right to take direct decisions, works like new appointments, certification of teachers, research related to the academic council meetings, and project decisions are stalled in BAU.
