University Extension Center Inaugurated by BRA Bihar University Vice Chancellor, Fulfilling Long-standing Demand

In a significant development, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, the Vice Chancellor of BRA Bihar University, inaugurated the University Extension Center at MJK College, Bettiah. The establishment of this center marks the fulfillment of a persistent demand from the community.

Addressing the gathering at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai emphasized the importance of this initiative in strengthening the university's ties with the local community. He highlighted that the extension center is poised to provide educational opportunities to individuals who lack access to traditional university programs. Moreover, it will serve as a platform for fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between the university and the community at large.

Prof. Rai expressed optimism regarding the lasting and positive impact the extension center will have on the community. He emphasized that beyond administrative functions, the center will actively engage in educational activities, furthering the university's mission of academic excellence and community service.

The establishment of the center in Bettiah is particularly significant as it will alleviate the burden on students from Bagaha, Bettiah, and Motihari districts of North Bihar. Previously, students had to undertake long journeys, spanning hundreds of kilometers, for administrative tasks, incurring significant expenses and time loss. With the introduction of the extension center, students will now have access to essential university services closer to home, saving both time and resources.

The decision to establish the extension center has been met with widespread approval from teacher and student organizations, as well as the local community. It is viewed as a proactive step towards prioritizing student welfare and expanding educational opportunities.

Prof. Omprakash Roy, Principal of Langat Singh College and Governor-designate Syndicate Member of the University, hailed the inauguration of the University Extension Center as a pivotal milestone for the institution. He commended the Vice Chancellor for his dedication to enhancing educational outreach efforts, noting that the proposal for the center was approved three years ago, and its implementation was realized under Prof. Rai's leadership.

The event saw a warm welcome extended to Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai by Prof. Surendra Kesari, Principal of MJK College, upon his arrival. In attendance were Registrar Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Harendra Kumar, along with other university officials and college professors, marking the commencement of a new chapter in the university's commitment to academic excellence and community engagement.
