Special Training Camp for BRA Bihar University Kabaddi Team Ahead of Chancellor Cup

BRA Bihar University Sports Council is organizing a training camp for the Kabaddi team selected for the Chancellor Cup Kabaddi Tournament to be held from October 15. This week-long training camp is being organized at Langat Singh College Kabaddi Ground. In the camp, high-level training has been arranged for the players of the university team selected for the Chancellor Cup so that they can perform better in the Chancellor Cup Kabaddi Tournament. On organizing the camp, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai said that keeping in mind the goal of the university Kabaddi team to perform excellently on big platforms, a weekly Kabaddi training camp is being organized, so that the team can hone its Kabaddi skills and bring glory to the university by performing excellently in the Chancellor Cup.
This training camp is an important medium for the players of the university's Kabaddi team to improve their playing ability. Through this camp, full attention is being given to the important elements of technical knowledge, fitness, and teamwork. Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai said that many policies and efforts are being made by the university administration to elevate the university in sports. The Sports Council has been instructed to make all efforts to ensure excellent performance of the university team in all competitions instead of just completing the formality of sending teams for various competitions. Professor Rai expressed optimism that with the collaborative efforts of educational institutions and government bodies, students will have greater opportunities to engage in sports, thereby building a holistic development approach. Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai reiterated the university's dedication to maximizing these opportunities, ensuring that students not only excel academically but also thrive in athletic pursuits.By prioritizing sports, the university aims to cultivate a vibrant athletic culture that contributes to teamwork, discipline, and resilience among its students, aligning with the broader vision of promoting a healthier and more active community, VC Prof. Rai added.
Principal of Langat Singh College, hosting this training camp, Prof Omprakash Rai said that the college administration has taken all possible steps for the successful organization of the camp and special attention is being paid to the facilities of the players. Sports Council Secretary Dr Kantesh Kumar said that this camp will run till October 14 and proper training is being given to make the team physically, mentally and technically strong for the Chancellor Cup. Sports Council Advisor, former IAS Dr Sanjay Sinha said that on the instructions of Vice Chancellor Prof Dinesh Chandra Rai, after a long gap, the culture of organizing training camps for the team before big competitions has started again in the university, this will definitely give positive results. Those present includes Dr. Navin Kumar, Mahendra Prasad including the trainers and coaches for the camp.
