SAIL Executives Learn Strategy and Management Skills at IIM Ranchi


IIM Ranchi recently concluded its Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) for the Executives of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). Spearheaded by IIM Ranchi's Executive Education & Consultancy (EEC) department, the programme saw managers from various SAIL departments participate. The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Sanjay Dhar, Chief General Manager (HR - L&D) and Executive Director of the Management Training Institute (MTI), SAIL, who served as the Hon’ble Guest. Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean of EEC, also addressed the attendees. Programme Directors Prof. Manish Bansal and Prof. Anupriya Khan collected valuable feedback from the SAIL Executives throughout the sessions, conducted under the guidance of Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director of IIM Ranchi.

Shri Dhar, encouraged the Executives during the valedictory session. He stated that the organization makes every possible effort for the future and better performance of its employees in their work areas. In such a scenario, the educational development of the Executives keeps them continuously aware for achieving their goals. He advised them to develop a new perspective with the knowledge gained from IIM Ranchi. He emphasized striving for better performance by knowing every possible measure to simplify work. In line with the demands of the time, it is essential for every employee to be technologically developed. In today's era, AI technology is proving useful and helpful in every field, and he urged them to be passionate about self-improvement by staying informed about it.

Prof. Sachan emphasized the utility of executive education. He stated that there is a need for continuous training to remain aware of creative and new ideas. With continuous effort, every impossible task can be accomplished. During the training sessions, Executives were given information on various managerial subjects, including Strategic Leadership, Financial Acumen, Digital Transformation, Business Development Strategies with AI, Competitive Goal Setting, Decision Making, Behavior, and Mental Health, among other managerial qualities.

At the end of the programme, all participants were honored with certificates.

Initiatives like this programme reaffirms IIM Ranchi’s commitment to fostering leadership excellence and equipping industry professionals with the skills required for strategic growth and innovation.
