Professor Narendra Kumar Rana Becomes the New Registrar of CUSB, Takes Charge


Professor Narendra Kumar Rana has taken charge as the new Registrar of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). According to Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mohammad Mudassir Alam, Professor Rana succeeded the outgoing Registrar Colonel Rajiv Kumar Singh in a formal ceremony. Professor Rana currently serves as a professor in the Department of Geography at the Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.

After assuming his new role, a special program was held in the university's administrative building, where Vice Chancellor Professor Kameshwar Nath Singh welcomed Professor Rana on behalf of the entire university community and extended his congratulations. Highlighting Professor Rana's distinguished academic record, the Vice Chancellor expressed confidence that his experience would significantly contribute to the university's progress and help CUSB achieve new milestones. Additionally, the Vice Chancellor praised the outgoing Registrar Colonel Rajiv Kumar Singh for his excellent five-year tenure and wished him the best for his future endeavors. The event saw the presence of university officials, professors, and employees who shared their fond memories of the outgoing Registrar's term, making for an emotional gathering.

A renowned academician specializing in river geomorphology and the restoration of blue landscapes, Professor Rana has been appointed as the Registrar of CUSB for a period of five years. In his brief address after taking office, Professor Rana emphasized his commitment to the all-round development of CUSB and expressed his dedication to the university's interests. Notably, Professor Rana is the fourth Registrar of CUSB to be appointed on a full-time basis since the university's establishment in 2009.
