Indian Institute of Management Jammu under the visionary leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, welcomed 41 students from BBA program, and Dr. Mannat Puri, Faculty from the MIET College of Management for an immersive campus visit that combined exposure, inspiration, and learning on 30th Sept 2025.The students embarked on a guided tour across IIM Jammu’s world-class infrastructure that stands as a testament to the institute’s pursuit of academic and professional excellence.
From smart classrooms designed to foster interactive learning, to the Vedanta MDP Block nurturing executive leaders; from the majestic Mandapam Auditorium to the Nalanda Library, a treasure trove of global knowledge; from the Vishrantika Faculty Lounge and the serene nature-green courtyard to the vibrant Rangmanch, every corner of the campus reflects IIM Jammu’s vision of blending scholarship with creativity and tradition with modernity.As part of the visit, the students were shown the Campus Audio-Visual film, offering them a panoramic overview of IIM Jammu’s illustrious journey. The AV highlighted the institute’s remarkable achievements.
They were also apprised of IIM Jammu’s recent milestones, including securing the BGA Institutional Accreditation for the Institute and the prestigious EFMD Programme Accreditation for its MBA programme within a single year. These remarkable achievements place IIM Jammu among the top five IIMs in the country and make it the only second- and third-generation IIM to attain both accreditations, underscoring its rapid rise as a globally recognized hub of excellence in management education. The institute is now pursuing AACSB Accreditation, moving closer to achieving the coveted “Triple Crown”, a distinction held by only a select few business schools worldwide. The students were further informed that IIM Jammu has now entered its 10th year of excellence, a proud milestone that reflects a decade of transformative education, cutting-edge research, and meaningful contributions to industry and society.
The IIM Jammu Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C) Wing further enriched the visit by providing the students with an insightful overview of its diverse portfolio of executive training programmes, along with an introduction to IIM Jammu. These programmes are meticulously designed to empower aspiring managers, entrepreneurs, and seasoned professionals, equipping them with the skills to excel in today’s dynamic business environment.
The session, conducted by the Media and Publication Division of IIM Jammu, acquainted the students with the IIM system and took them through the institute’s remarkable journey of growth and achievements. They also benefitted from an engaging career counselling session, where they explored IIM Jammu’s diverse academic offerings and received valuable guidance on shaping their professional journeys with clarity and vision.
The visit concluded with an interactive session over refreshments, giving students the opportunity to engage with Prof. Shyam Narayan Lal, Chairperson, Anandam and Media and Publication Division, IIM Jammu, officers and staff members, exchange ideas, and carry with them not just memories, but also inspiration for the future.
This initiative exemplified IIM Jammu’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders, and to building meaningful bridges with peer institutions in the pursuit of knowledge, excellence, and nation-building.
