Management Development Programme for Bureau of Indian Standards Officers Inauguration Ceremony held at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi

A Management Development Programme on Time and Project Management for Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Officers at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) was inaugurated on Nov 20, 2023. The six-day program will focus on the multiple dimensions of organizational excellence.
The inauguration ceremony, held at IIM Ranchi, witnessed the presence of the Director, IIM Ranchi, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, along with the Chairperson of Executive Education, Dr. Rojers P. Joseph, the program directors and faculty members, and the BIS Officers.
Dr. Rojers informed about the various executive education initiatives being conducted at IIM Ranchi under the visionary leadership of the Director. He also thanked all the individuals who have come together to develop the management development program that is both relevant as well as rigorous.
The Director of IIM Ranchi, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, emphasized the institute's commitment to being a destination for world-class business education. Prof. Srivastava highlighted the difference between management training and science and engineering education. Management problems mirror life, and unlike science, dealt with multiple solutions, and the optimal response is arrived at via both objective and subjective considerations, he stressed. He wished the participants an enriching learning experience and a comfortable stay on the Institute's permanent campus. The permanent campus was recently inaugurated and dedicated to the service of the nation by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Tuhin Sengupta, a director of the programme.
The inauguration ceremony marks the beginning of the Management Development Programme. In the next six days, the Officers will be exposed to multiple business subjects, including but not limited to strategy, project management, stakeholder engagement, and managing innovations.
