Leadership Transformation for IOCL Employees in a Two-Day MDP Event at IIM Ranchi

The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) proudly inaugurated a transformative two-day Management Development Program (MDP) titled "Professional Etiquette and Ethics at the Workplace" for the officers of the prestigious Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL).
The event, witnessed the esteemed presence of Prof. Deepak Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi, Prof. Rojers P Joseph, Chairperson - EEC, IIM Ranchi, and Shri Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, Executive Director & State Head - Bihar, IOCL. Notable dignitaries included Shri M.R. Das, ED(HR) at Head Office, IOCL, and Ms. Indrani Maji, General Manager (HRD, L&D, IOCL).
This initiative aims to equip 25 officers from IOCL with essential tools and strategies about "Professional Etiquette and Ethics at the Workplace." Over two days, expert faculty members from IIM Ranchi delved into crucial aspects, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of how to excel in their careers and contribute effectively to IOCL's continued success.
The MDP commenced with the session, "Does Professionalism Matter?" by Prof. Shilpee Dasgupta. This set the tone for an intellectually stimulating experience, followed by insightful sessions offering practical insights and strategies by Prof. Angshuman Hazarika, Prof. Rajiv Aricat, and Prof. Shibashish Chakraborty.
The event culminated with a grand valedictory ceremony, acknowledging the participants' commitment to learning and growth and facilitating them with their well-earned certificates.
The event featured impactful sessions by Prof. Rogers P Joseph, Shri M.R. Das (Executive Director HR, IOCL), and Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava. The MDP valedictory ceremony commenced with Prof. Rogers emphasizing continuous learning. Shri M.R. Das shared insights on maintaining professionalism in dynamic scenarios, drawing from three decades of experience in various roles at IOCL, including his current position as Executive Director of HR at the head office. Prof. Srivastava discussed the learnings of ethical and legal perspectives, addressing decision-making dilemmas.
Professor Tanushree explained the significance of IIM Ranchi's logo—a crow shaped like an arrow symbolizing progress, societal improvement and our commitment to keep moving forward, highlighting the institute's dedication to comprehensive development.
Expressing enthusiasm about this collaboration, IIM Ranchi's commitment to nurturing leadership skills within organizations dedicated to excellence is evident. This MDP reflects the institute's dedication to fostering professional growth and ethical leadership in the corporate landscape.
