Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on Sunday said that the last date for online applications to their programmes has been extended to May 7
The last date was April 30 earlier. The university said the extension has been given for all programmes, including merit-based programmes, those for which admissions are based on national level examinations, and those for which the varsity will conduct its own entrance tests.
The university had announced that scores of the Common University Entrance Test will be considered for admission to some courses, but scores obtained in the university entrance examinations will be given preference.
While reiterating this, the varsity urged aspirants to register for the common entrance test to be conducted by the university for “better chances of admission”.
University officials said that CUET scores would be considered for 17 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate programmes. “But CUET will be given second preference, after the university’s entrance tests popularly known as CET,” an official explained.
“The university will conduct computer-based entrance tests for admission to 83 academic programmes in eight cities in the country, including Delhi-NCR. The application, entrance test and counselling will be in online mode.
The syllabus for all entrance examinations is provided in the academic brochure, and students are advised to go through the website regularly for updates,” Dr Mahesh Verma, vice-chancellor of the university, had said earlier.
