Langat Singh College Hosts a Day of Russian Language and Culture


Langat Singh College's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with BR Ambedkar Bihar University's Russian Department,  organized a one-day workshop dedicated to the Russian language. This immersive event featured insightful sessions delivered by renowned experts from Russia. 

Prof. Om Prakash Roy, Principal of Langat Singh College, presided over the workshop on the Russian language. In his address, he emphasized the enduring nature of the Indo-Russian friendship, highlighting the significance of academic and cultural exchanges in strengthening this bond. Prof. Roy said that the workshop provided a unique opportunity for students and faculty to delve into the intricacies of the Russian language and culture. The resource persons from Russia shared their expertise, offering valuable insights into the language's nuances, grammar, and pronunciation. Prof. Roy expressed his belief that such initiatives play a crucial role in promoting intercultural understanding and global citizenship. By exposing students to diverse languages and cultures, the college aims to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

IQAC coordinator Prof. SR Chaturvedi welcoming the guest saud thar the workshop provided a platform for participants to immerse themselves in the Russian language, practice their speaking, reading, and writing skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Russia.He saud wirkshop is enriched by the presence of distinguished lanuage ambassdors from Russia. Russian language experts from Russia, Polina Dorojakina and Anna Listova. shared invaluable insights into the nuances of the Russian language, its grammar, and pronunciation.

Their expertise extended beyond language, as they delved into the rich tapestry of Russian culture, including literature, music, and art. Faculty members from the university's Russian department, Dr. Divyam Prakash and Dr. Shushma Kumari, also shared their insights on the Russian language and culture. A large number of students, faculty members, and language enthusiasts gathered for workshop including Dr. Tathagat Banerjee, Dr. Shashikant Pandey, Dr. Bageshwari Sharma, Dr. Navin Kumar, Dr. Imtiyaz, Sujit Kumar, Rishi Kumar, Rahul Kumar among others.
