The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) today launched a new online certification course on Construction Technology and Management. Interested students can register by visiting the official website — code.iitm.ac.in/construction-technology-and-management.

Candidates have time till August 20 to apply for this programme, with the early bird admissions ending on July 31. The online course will begin on September 1.

This course will teach the latest advances in construction technology and management practices. The promamme will be taught in online mode, which includes 126 hours of recorded online instruction and 42 hours of online live interaction with the faculty experts.

The programme has ten modules: Engineering Economics, Concrete Technology, Road and Pavement Technology, Construction Planning and Control, Construction Processes & Productivity, Quality, Durability and Repair, Safety, Construction Contracts, and Resource Constrained Schedule Optimization.

This course is aimed at working professionals in structural design and construction firms, but also at faculty in engineering colleges as well as students who intend to work in the construction industry. This programme will expose them to cutting-edge construction management techniques and methods.
