Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi announces the completion of the final and summer placements for the academic session 2022–23. IIM Ranchi students have once again proven their excellence by bagging highly sought-after positions in some of the top companies that are global leaders in their respective domains. The year was challenging because of several macro-environmental factors like excess hiring by recruiters in the preceding year, followed by cautious hiring in some sectors due to the possibility of a slowdown or recession, and a batch size of the existing MBA Programme 58 per cent bigger than the previous batch.
The Students’ Corporate Relations Team and the Placement Cell of the Institute worked relentlessly to give the students the finest opportunity and experience. The Cell has strengthened ties with the existing recruiters, while many new recruiters also participated in the placement season. Top businesses from a range of industries, including finance, marketing, technology, consulting and others recruited in large numbers for national and international job assignments.
Both the median and average compensations of the MBA and MBA-HR Programmes have increased by more than 8 per cent and 6 per cent respectively*. The first batch of the MBA-BA (Business Analytics) Programme deserves special mention for securing 100 per cent placements in the third week of December 2022 itself and notching comparable compensation figures with the flagship MBA and MBA HR programmes.
