IIM Ranchi successfully hosted Startup Conclave 2025 in collaboration with SIDBI, bringing together emerging ventures, industry leaders, and investors to foster innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship. The conclave served as a platform for insightful discussions, strategic networking, and actionable knowledge-sharing, reinforcing IIM Ranchi's commitment to building an ecosystem that nurtures startups and MSMEs.
The event witnessed 100+ guests and more than 50+ startups. Prof. Rajeev Verma, Chairperson, Executive MBA, welcomed everyone with an insightful address, followed by a panel discussion where industry leaders shared their expertise on funding, scaling strategies, and the evolving startup landscape, concluding with an interactive Q&A session. The conclave featured venture capitalists, investors, and thought leaders, including Shri Arijit Dutt, General Manager, SIDBI, Shri Abhishek Prasad (Cornerstone Venture Partners Fund), Shri Kaushik Dasgupta (Early Spring Fund), and Shri Sanket Lahoti (Campus Fund), representing leading Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs). Wg Cdr Anish Anthony, an ICSI (startup) board member and a key figure in India's startup ecosystem, was also present at the conclave. The event also featured Prof. Jawar Singh (IIT Patna), founder of QTrino Labs Pvt. Ltd., an expert in quantum computing. Representatives from TiE Patna were also part of the event.
Following the panel discussion, Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean Executive Education, IIM Ranchi, launched TVL (The Venture Latitude), a new initiative supporting startups and MSMEs through mentorship, infrastructure, talent, and research access (MITRA). This program will offer faculty mentorship, campus infrastructure for temporary summer offices, and student collaborations on real-world projects. Additionally, TVL will provide research support, enabling startups to leverage academic insights and industry research for innovation and growth.
The success of the conclave and the launch of TVL highlight IIM Ranchi's unwavering commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and creating a thriving startup ecosystem. The event was made possible through the visionary leadership of Director Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi, alongside the dedicated efforts of faculty members and students from various departments. The conclave emphasized the importance of collaborative learning, industry partnerships, and innovation-driven initiatives, ensuring that IIM Ranchi continues to play a key role in shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
