IIM Ranchi Conducts MDP for IOCL Employees on Women Leadership


The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi successfully conducted a three-day Management Development Programme (MDP) for Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Women Leadership during 13-15 June 2024. 

The MDP witnessed enthusiastic participation from twenty-two women employees of IOCL, who engaged in sessions meticulously crafted to enhance their leadership skills and managerial acumen. Sessions were led by faculty members of IIM Ranchi, each bringing specialized expertise in various management domains.

The MDP encompassed a wide array of topics crucial to effective leadership, including strategic planning and decision-making, organizational leadership and employee development, self-analysis and career mapping, personal grooming and etiquette, non-verbal communication, building networks and personal branding, financial statements, design thinking, team building, digital transformation, and AI for business leaders.

Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi focussed on executive education and discussed about management education and how it is different. He elaborated on distinct frameworks, theories, models, and core competencies essential for informed decision-making in managerial roles.

The inaugural session featured Shri Pankaj Kumar, Executive Director (Regional Services) Eastern Region, IOCL, as the Chief Guest. Mrs. Indrani Maji, General Manager of Human Resource Development at IOCL, Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean, Executive Education & Consulting, and Prof. Tanusree Dutta, Programme Director of the MDP, also graced the event with their presence.

The programme concluded on a high note with a valedictory ceremony where participants were felicitated with certificates, acknowledging their dedication and successful completion of the MDP.

This initiative reflects IIM Ranchi and IOCL's commitment to fostering gender diversity and empowering women leaders in the corporate landscape. By equipping participants with advanced managerial skills and leadership insights, the MDP aims to catalyze positive change and inspire future generations of women leaders in India.
