The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, in collaboration with Thalassemia Welfare Society, Jammu, and Govt. Medical College Jammu, organized a Blood Donation Camp at its Canal Road Campus. This initiative showcased IIM Jammu’s steadfast commitment to community service and social responsibility. The camp drew enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff, reaffirming the institute's ethos of fostering a culture of empathy and altruism.27 donors participated in the blood donation drive. 

The camp, conducted with the support of Thalassemia Welfare Society and medical professionals from Govt. Medical College Jammu, ensured that all protocols and safety measures were meticulously followed. It aimed to highlight the critical role of blood donation in saving lives and addressing medical emergencies, thereby instilling a sense of civic duty among the participants.

Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, lauded the participants for their selfless contribution to this noble cause. Reflecting on the significance of such initiatives, he said, “At IIM Jammu, we believe in nurturing leaders who are not only academically proficient but also socially conscious. Blood donation is a powerful act of humanity, and today’s overwhelming participation reflects our community’s commitment to making a tangible difference. Such endeavors align with our vision of developing responsible leaders with a strong moral compass.”

The camp concluded on a high note, with a significant number of units of blood collected, which will benefit patients in need across the region, particularly those battling conditions like thalassemia and other life-threatening illnesses. Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to this life-saving initiative, reinforcing IIM Jammu’s mission to create meaningful societal impact.

The event was coordinated by the Student Affairs Office at IIM Jammu, which played a pivotal role in ensuring seamless organization and execution. This initiative reflects IIM Jammu's dedication to promoting inclusivity, social responsibility, and sustainable practices, further cementing its position as a leading socially responsible institution.
