Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the internationally renowned IE University, Spain. The MoU was signed by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, and Ms. Maria-Eugenia Marin, Vice-Provost, Global Academic Partnerships and Alliances, IE University, Madrid, Spain.

Prof. B.S. Sahay happily announced the collaboration of IIM Jammu with IE University, Spain to reinforce the global footprint and advance excellence in teaching and research at IIM Jammu. This will be marked as a positive step toward absorbing the best practices in research and teaching from the best B-Schools in the world. According to him, these collaborations are a vital part of IIM Jammu’s international endeavors, and these will be helpful in fostering the advancement in teaching, research, and cultural understanding as well as the international reputation of both the institutes through student, and faculty exchange, executive education, and research programs. India is a fast-growing economy; this collaboration is acting as a great opportunity for both the Institutes and countries. 

Sharing her views, Ms. María-Eugenia Marín, Vice-Provost, Global Academic Partnerships and Alliances, IE University, Spain reiterated that the collaboration between IE University, Spain, and IIM Jammu is firmly grounded on a common vision of the role of higher education institutions in developing global leaders equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset, a holistic perspective of the world, and an understanding of the importance of a life-long learning journey.  

The collaboration aims to foster advancement in teaching, and cultural understanding, as well as the International Reputations of both Institutions through the exchange of postgraduate students, faculty members, and academic information and materials; the organization of joint corporate training programs, joint research programs, joint conferences; Executive Education Programs, and other academic exchanges that both Institutes agree to.

The MoU Signing was coordinated by Dr. Sarbjit Singh, Chairperson, International Relations, and Dr. Somu Gorai, Co-Chairperson, International Relations, IIM Jammu.
