IIM Bangalore tops FT MiM Rankings 2022 in weighted salary, best Business School in India


In the recently released Business School Rankings, Indian Institute of Management, IIM Bangalore has been adjudged the best B-school of India. Not only that, in terms of the weighted salary, IIM Bangalore tops the Financial Times, FT MBA Rankings 2022 with an average weighted salary of $144,178 or roughly or roughly 1.14 crore rupees.

As per the list released by FT, IIM Bangalore has scored an overall rank of 31 in the list of Top 100 schools. However, it has recorded the highest weighted salary amongst all others. The top college, University of St Gallen, Switzerland has the next highest weighted salary of $ 1,38,091.

Amongst the other institutes of India, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) has been ranked at number 44 followed by IIM Lucknow at 64. Overall 9 institutes from India have made it to the list.

IIM Bangalore’s position saw a significant improvement from last year, up from its 47th position to 31st position globally in 2022. Speaking on the performance in the latest ranking, IIMB Director Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan says, "IIMB's leadership position in these rankings play a part in raising the visibility and reputation of the school."

Not just the weighted salary, the institute has also ranked highest on parameters such as value for money, women on the institute's board, faculty with doctorates, international course experience.
