The second day of the Doctoral Research Conference (DRC) 2024, organized by IIM Ranchi, showcased a day filled with academic rigor and innovative research. Held on August 24, 2024, this prestigious conference highlighted the advanced research undertaken by doctoral scholars from top institutes across the country.

The day's sessions featured four thought-provoking presentations from distinguished doctoral scholars, each offering cutting-edge insights into management research. Following these presentations, eminent discussants provided detailed and insightful feedback, enriching the scholarly exchange. These discussants were honored for their invaluable contributions to the conference.

Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director IIM Ranchi, highlighted the conference as a rare platform for doctoral students to share their research. He stressed the importance of balancing research and teaching and encouraged continuous experimentation in research methodologies. He also mentioned that impactful research is one of the strategic priorities of IIM Ranchi.

A key highlight of the day was the valedictory address delivered by Professor Jitendra Mahakud from IIT Kharagpur’s Department of Humanities & Social Sciences. Prof. Mahakud emphasized the critical importance of research being impactful and receiving peer recognition beyond mere publication. He also discussed the need for interdisciplinary research leveraging insights from diverse domains.

The conference also celebrated the doctoral scholars who presented their research, acknowledging their significant contributions to the field of management. In concluding remarks, Conference Chair Prof. Jagan Kumar Sur thanked all participants, speakers, and organizers for their pivotal roles in the conference’s success.
