The University of Delhi (DU) has released the academic calendar for postgraduate programmes, with the first semester scheduled to begin from September 1.

According to the schedule, the first and third semester will begin on September 1. After that, classes will be dispersed on December 22 and preparatory leaves will be provided from December 22 to December 29, 2023, which is also when the pratical exams will be conducted, if needed. The theory exams will begin from December 30.

The second and fourth semester will begin from January 15, and the mid-semester break will be scheduled between March 24 and 31. Classes will be dispersed from May 12 and students will have time till May 19 to prepare for the theory exams and the varsities can conduct practical exams during this time too, if needed.

Theory exams for second and fourth semester students will begin from May 20, after which summer vacations will follow from June 2 till July 21, 2024.

The university had also recently released the undergraduate academic calendar stating that the classes for the new academic year for semester 1 and 3 will commence from August 16. The theory exams for these students will begin on December 13.
