For his insistent contribution towards image building of the Gayaji situated Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), the Public Relation Officer (PRO) Mohammad Mudassir Alam wins the Chanakya Jury Special Award by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI). Mr. Mudassir was given the prestigious PR award at the 19th PRCI Global Communication Conclave held in Goa during September 26 - 27, 2025. The award, presented by the PRCI, India's largest network for PR & Communication Professionals recognizes young communication professionals who demonstrate exceptional promise, creativity, and commitment in the field of public relations.

The award was presented by the Kantara fame Kannada actor Pramod Shetty in presence of Mr. M B Jayaram, Chief Mentor & Chairman Emeritus, PRCI and other officials of PRCI. The glittering award ceremony was attended by His Excellency Hon’ble Governor of Goa, Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa Shri Pramod Sawant, and other notable personalities from PR & Corporate communications. Ironically, Mr. Mudassir is the only PR professional from Bihar and Central Universities across the country to get the award.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Registrar Prof. Narendra Kumar Rana and entire CUSB family congratulated Mr. Mudassir for the global award. Mr. Mudassir expressed his gratitude towards the Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. N. Singh and Registrar Prof. N. K. Rana for their regular support in fulfilling the PR responsibilities and officially nominating for the award. He also expressed his gratitude to the Jury of PRCI, Mr. J. S. Subramanian, Chairman, Chanakya Awards Committee, Ms. Geetha Shankar, President - National Executive, PRCI for selecting him for the prestigious award.

The jury recognized the efforts of Mr. Mudassir in providing wider coverage to CUSB in the media, social media and other communication platforms and making significant contributions in the positive image building of the University. These persistent efforts resulted in getting the NIRF Ranking Bank 151-200 in 2025, Category-1 University grade from the UGC in 2024, and grade A++ from NAAC in 2023. It should be noted that working as a PRO with CUSB since January 2014, Mr. Mudassir has a total work experience of around 20 years which includes around 8.5 years in Corporate Sector.
