CIMP is the first institute in Bihar to launch an AICTE approved PGDM- IEV Programme


Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) has launched a Post Graduate Programme in Management in the area of innovation, entrepreneurship and venture development. This Program is unique in its outcome as it ensures and encourages employment generation from participants and not just letting them be employees.

Currently this programme has been only approved to 25 Business Schools across India and only to one in Bihar and that is CIMP. This unique programme shall focus on enterprise development in each of the participants wherein institute will support in terms of idea generation, pre-incubation facility, Proof of Concept (PoC) testing, incubation support, prototype development, testing and commercialization.

CIMP gets PGDM-IEV approval 

Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) has got approval of the program PGDM-IEV (Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development) by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). After detailed deliberations on all the specified parameters against several criteria, AICTE approved the PGDM-IEV program of CIMP with an intake of 30 (Thirty) seats. 

The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from any University/Institution recognised by Ministry of Education, Government of India. Candidates with entrepreneurial mindset having innovative business ideas or startups will be given preference. 80% of course fees will be borne by Department of Industries, Govt. of Bihar and 20% of course fees will be borne by the students for General and OBC Category. 90% of course fees will be borne by Department of Industries, Govt. of Bihar and 10% of course fees will be borne by the students for SC/ST/Women/Differently abled/Special Category. 

“Under the new program, the Institute will also extend support in terms of market development and IPR filing”, said Director of CIMP, Prof. Dr. Rana Singh.  The Ministry of Education (MoE) has made a functional incubation centre, a prerequisite for this programme. The programme will ensure overall development of the candidates by putting in various components such as projects, live internship, etc. as part of the course module. This will give catalytic boost to the capacity building process in the domain of innovation, entrepreneurship and venture development (IEV).
