BRABU's Sports Resurgence Leads to Hosting Three Major Games

BR Ambedkar Bihar University  has successfully secured the hosting rights for three prestigious inter-university sports competitions: men's volleyball, women's kabaddi, and men's kabaddi. This achievement marks a significant leap, as the university is building on its successful return to the national sports arena last year after a 17-year hiatus.

The announcement came during the university's three-day sports day celebration, adding to the festive atmosphere. "It's a moment of immense pride and a huge morale booster to get this news amid our sports day celebrations," said a visibly pleased Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai. "This success is a reflection of our efforts and, crucially, of the hard work of our students. Our BRABU teams have responded well to the support we've provided, performing exceptionally well in various inter-university platforms over the last year."

Prof. Rai also highlighted the university's commitment to the 'Ek Ghanta Khel ke Maidan Mein' initiative, a new government campaign announced recently. "We are enthusiastically embracing this campaign because we understand that sports is not just for students; it has a profound positive impact on society as a whole," he stated. "It builds character, promotes discipline, and fosters a healthy, active lifestyle. Our university will propagate this initiative to benefit not just our students but the wider community."

The Indian Universities Sports Association has released the annual sports calendar, with the deadline for entries for men's volleyball set for October 13th. The university's successful bid to host three major events, a significant jump from last year, solidifies its growing reputation as a key player in the national collegiate sports arena. The entire university community has rejoiced over this news, including Proctor Prof. B.S. Rai, L.S. College Principal Prof. Kanupriya, Dr. Sanjay Sinha, Dr. Kantesh Kumar, Prof. T.K. Dey, Prof. Rajeev Kumar, and Dr. Navin Kumar, among others.
