BRABU VC Prof Dinesh Chandra Rai chairs key session at prestigious int'l conference 'Manthan 5.0' in Delhi

BR Ambedkar Bihar University  Vice-Chancellor Prof Dinesh Chandra Rai, and  a senior professor at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), presided over a high-profile academic session at the two-day international conference ‘Manthan 5.0 (2026)’, organised by the Rashtriya Suraksha Jagran Manch (FANS).

The prestigious event, held at University of Delhi, on March 27-28, 2026, revolved around the theme “Culture, Climate, and History: Lessons from Vishal Bharat”, exploring the rich cultural and ecological heritage spanning from Iran to South and Southeast Asia.

The conference brought together an elite gathering of academics, researchers, and thought leaders, featuring an impressive array of vice-chancellors, senior professors, diplomats, and distinguished guests from across India and abroad.

Under the chairmanship of Prof Rai, the session on “Greater India and Global Dialogue” witnessed profound and insightful deliberations. Eminent scholars engaged in lively, intellectually stimulating, and inspiring discussions on India’s civilisational connect with the world.

In his presidential address, Prof Rai eloquently articulated the enduring relevance of Indian philosophy. He observed: Indian thought is founded on balance, harmony, and peaceful coexistence. India has bestowed upon the world the priceless gifts of non-violence, yoga, and Ayurveda. Ours is a civilisation of cultural awakening rather than territorial greed. Ancient Indian civilisation imparts profound lessons in environmental conservation, cultural harmony, and historical continuity — values that can offer meaningful solutions to contemporary global challenges such as climate change, cultural conflicts, and ecological imbalance.”

The conference was graced by senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Shri Indresh Kumar as Chief Patron, along with University of Delhi Vice-Chancellor Prof Yogesh Singh and several other eminent patrons. The valedictory session was addressed by Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu and other dignitaries.

The academic fraternity and alumni of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University have warmly congratulated Prof Rai on his successful stewardship of the session at this prestigious international platform. Senior university officials and faculty members, including NAAC Advisor Prof BS Rai, LS College Principal Prof Kanupriya, Prof Rajeev Kumar, Prof TK Dey, Dr Shartendu Shekhar, Dr Navin Kumar and others, described it as a significant academic achievement that brings pride and recognition to the institution.
