BRA Bihar University has taken a significant step towards promoting spiritual practices within its academic community by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ramakrishna Ashram in Bela. This collaboration aligns with the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai's vision of inculcating spiritual growth, mental well-being, and holistic development of  students and faculty members.

The MoU was signed by VC Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai and Swami Bhawatamanand Ji, Secreatary,   Ramakrishna Ashram. On the occassion, VC Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai said,  the partnership is designed to integrate spiritual teachings and practices into the educational framework of the university, and will  encourage a culture of mindfulness and peace.

He said under this agreement, the Ramakrishna Ashram will offer various programs, including meditation workshops, yoga sessions, and spiritual discourse. University administration is committed to  cultivate emotional resilience, enhance concentration, and promote a balanced lifestyle among the university community, and this collaboration will definitely help in achieving this goal. Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai further said the initiative recognizes the importance of mental health and the role that spirituality can play in personal and academic growth.

Vice Chancellor  Prof. Rai expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the need for a well-rounded education that includes emotional and spiritual aspects. He said the initiative is expected to not only enrich the academic experience but also prepare students for the challenges of life beyond their studies. The Ramakrishna Ashram, known for its dedication to spiritual empowerment and community service, is expected to play a vital role in this initiative. Their expertise in spiritual education and outreach will provide valuable resources and support to both students and faculty members.

Swami Bhawtamanand jee expressing  his happiness over this partnership said that Ramkrishna Ashram will contribute its part in creating a holistic educational environment at BRA  Bihar University, in line with the university administration goal of nurturing not just academically competent students, but also well-rounded individuals who are spiritually aware and socially responsible. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Proctor Prof. BS Rai, College Inspector Prof. Rajeev Kumar, office bearers from Ramkrishna Ashram including others.
